2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

Account information

Email address and password (hashed) when you sign up.

Shop information

Shop name, address, phone, and email you provide in your profile.

Quote data

Job descriptions, customer names, emails, and the quotes you generate and save.

Usage data

Basic logs of how you use the Service, including pages visited and features used, for debugging and improvement.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Provide and operate the QuoteSpindle service
Generate AI-powered quotes based on your job descriptions
Send transactional emails (account confirmation, billing)
Respond to support requests
Improve the Service and fix bugs
Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your job descriptions or customer data to train AI models without your explicit consent.

4. AI Processing

When you generate a quote, your job description is sent to Anthropic’s Claude API for processing. Anthropic’s Privacy Policy applies to that processing. We do not send customer names or contact information to Anthropic — only the job description text.

5. Data Storage

Your data is stored in Supabase, a hosted database platform. Data is stored in the United States. Supabase maintains industry-standard security practices including encryption at rest and in transit.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

Supabase — database and authentication provider
Anthropic — AI processing of job descriptions only
Vercel — hosting and infrastructure
Law enforcement — only when required by law

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Export your quote data

8. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. We do not use third-party analytics services that track you across sites.

9. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account, we will delete your personal data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or billing purposes.

10. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and row-level database security. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password for your account.

11. Children

QuoteSpindle is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
